First sickness

Yesterday you were very fussy. Last night. Was worse. This morning you woke up with a fever and it started to climb. At 100.4 we got nervous  so Mama called into work and we made an appointment to see the doctor. It will be someone new is St. Paul now and Daddy and I are excited to meet them and see if they can  make you feel better. Temp is 101.3

You threw up all over mommy for the first, and second time. I didn't mind sweetheart. I just want you to feel better right away. 

One positive thing is that you have been giving out some snuggles because you need the comfort. Daddy and I are eating up the first hugs we are getting from you on your own accord even though we wish it were for a different reason. A happy reason. 

More after the appointment. Your sleeping now. Temp is down to 99.1 Hang in there boss. 

She said its a virus since you threw up. Most of your problems are teething related.  If you do not improve in 3 days we have to call in for antibiotics.  You weigh 23 pounds 10 ounces and we like our new family nurse practitioner Sara. She's very animated and you respond well to her. You did everything she asked you to. Even open your mouth up. Good boy!

You are sleeping again. Poor Binner.

 

A not-so pleasant introduction to Nemo and More walking.

I can't believe it Crosby. Your so amazing. I wish I could upload videos because you are inspiring to behold. 

The the other day I turned on the movie Finding Nemo for you...and shortly thereafter I turned it off. As soon as Nemo was taken you cried and looked to me for help. You were scared and I'm sure it has much to so with the music. So. No Nemo for a while. 

You prefer game shows. You like the announcers voices and the "dings and buzzers."

You are cutting teeth on the top now and are very very crabby about it. You have NO patience now. I feel so horrible that your little teeth and gums hurt. Daddy a d I do everything we can to ease your pain. 

 

You can walk all over now without falling. It happens from time to time or you choose to crawl. So not walking exclusively yet but believe me that's ok. I would like it if you stopped growing to so fast.

Our first trip to the park!

Since you are a walking superstar and we are having the very first nice day of summer today mama decided a walk to the park was in order. 

We strapped in. Walked the two blocks to the playground and got un-strapped. 

I decided to let you try the baby swing first as all the other attractions seemed made for big kids and I suspected it would be your favorite. 

I was right!

Then I decided to ignore the prospect of toxoplasmosis and let you dig in to the gravel you were screeching at repeatedly.   

Gravel is very tacitly interesting. 

Soon after a young man cruised by on a standing mower. It was loud! You got startled but of course smiled afterwards. You did not take your eyes off him until he was out of sight. 

Then you caught a nice breeze. Your favorite. I know this because you always take a rare timeout and pause to savor it as it blows across your perfect skin. 

That was our first trip to the park sweet love. You did great  got all tuckered out like your supposed to and are now napping like the angel I know you are.

WALKING!!!!!

Wow baby boy. You just never wanted to be a baby. Your walking up to ten steps now. I just can't believe it. I'll turn around and your on your feet headed towards me! Amazing. You are wonderful. Good job sweetheart. 

Daddy is out of town in St. Louis. I know you miss him because you search for him and say "da da" in a question way. I'm so sorry you miss him honey. I do too. He will be home in a few short days. We don't have long to wait. 

Cousin Erin is coming over to see you this evening again so that mommy can get her cleaning hours in.
